We’re reimagining how we connect.
Roots and Relationships is a kinship-centered creative brand offering games, resources, products, and gatherings that nurture kinship, connection, conversation, and community — rooted in care, culture, and creative play.
Started by a relational trauma therapist and artist, the brand designs playful products and experiences that go deep — from relationship card decks to digital kits, creative connection resources, curated events, and soulful community. Everything we create is rooted in culture, connection, and the belief that healthy relationships are both healing and joyful.
Whether you’re building new bonds, healing generational wounds, exploring your family history or just trying to have a good time with your people, we’re here to offer what you didn’t know you needed — soft work, real talk, and darn good vibes while you’re at it.
We’re not just a brand — we’re a movement toward deeper kinship, creative connection, and better relationships.
Hi, I’m Quanishia, a relational trauma therapist, creative, and founder of Roots and Relationships.
My work sits at the intersection of healing, artistry, and relational culture. I believe relationships are a site of deep transformation — and that joy, creativity, and play are just as impactful as therapy.
Through my personal practice and my brands, I create spaces where people can heal, explore, and reconnect — with themselves, each other, and their roots. I design tools, creative resources, and build experiences that feel both rooted and forward-thinking.
I come from a huge family that’s had its ups and downs, but one thing is sure, we have always had each other. Hosting huge parties, lively cookouts, game nights, cousins-trips, family retreats, and using excitement to encourage bond building. Being close-knit through generations and continuing family traditions has inspired me to share a bit of my love for family, soulful connection and kinship with you all.
My goal is to make the work of relationships feel more possible — and a lot more enjoyable. At the heart of it all, I just want people to feel more seen, more held, and more connected — in ways that last. Let’s do it together.
